This is an old shelf made of cedar wood.
The glasses and baskets shown are for size reference only and are not included in the set.

This item was found in my family's old warehouse.
It's unclear whether it was used for storing tools or documents, but it is believed to have been used around the Meiji to Taisho periods (late 19th to early 20th century).
It would be perfect for displaying sake cups, small ceramic cups (sobachoko), or decorative figures like Daikoku-sama.
You can also display flower vases or other vessels on the top shelf.

While the structure is sturdy with no wobbling or looseness, there are many scratches.
There are holes that appear to have been gnawed by mice, signs of insect damage, and cracks and peeling due to wood shrinkage over time. Please be careful not to injure your hands on the splintered areas (Images 7-12).
The dirt and dust have been cleaned to some extent, but some stains remain.
