Rare and wonderfully kitschy vintage Big Eye lady toilet paper cover featuring an elegant female figure in a dramatically distressed red and black dress, with sculpted black hair, exaggerated painted eyes and a bold red bow. The interior is marked “PATENT PENDING,” with no other maker’s marks present. There is also a black pen mark on the interior, which appears to have crossed out or obscured an old price marking/tag. Likely a mid-century papier-mâché/composition novelty piece dating to approximately the 1950s–1960s. The entire doll-shaped cover lifts off to conceal a toilet paper roll underneath, making this both a functional bathroom accessory and a fantastic vintage conversation piece. Approx. 10½ H x 6 diameter. Fits standard-size toilet paper rolls; jumbo/mega rolls are too large. Original aged finish with substantial paint wear, surface distressing and patina consistent with age. Please review all photos closely for condition and details.
