Vintage 1927 Carroll College University Hinakaga Yearbook (Waukesha, Wisconsin)

Up for sale is an original, hard-to-find 1927 edition of the Hinakaga, the official student yearbook of Carroll College (now known as Carroll University) located in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  This is the 13th volume of the annual publication  This specific copy belonged to student Dorothy Marie Toft, whose handwritten name and address are elegantly inscribed on the opening page.  It offers a marvelous window into late 1920s collegiate lifestyle, featuring student portraiture (including the Beta Chi Theta sorority and the Class of '26), vintage administration illustrations by Lee H. Salisbury, the school's Alma Mater song by Kern L. Parks ('28), and a fascinating local business advertisement section at the back (featuring historic Waukesha businesses like Trakel's Drug Store, Bostwick's High Grade Confectionery, and Merton Bros. Printers).  Condition Notes:Cover: Dark, heavily textured hardcover with original gold-foil lettering.
