Description

This is a never-used Hechi rod, Ika rod, and Kase fishing rod with an ultra-fine tip.
The wrapped sections and the butt end are finished with a朱 (vermilion) polished lacquer.
This rod is finished with genuine lacquer.
It is a very beautiful Japanese rod, adorned with luxurious sapphire-colored crystal guides.
This rod can also be used for Black Sea Bream fishing.

The rod being offered unfortunately does not have a maker's mark. It appears to have been made by a disciple of an Edo Japanese rod craftsman.
It is a genuine Hechi rod with an ultra-fine 0.6mm glass tip.

It has a tip-heavy action of approximately 9:1, but when a fish bites, the balance shifts to the body, allowing for natural lifting of large fish (like Black Sea Bream and Sea Bass), characteristic of a Japanese rod.
The segmented bamboo body has a strong action.
