Ryukyu Limestone Gravel, Approx. 10mm (3/8 inch)
This is Ryukyu Limestone gravel, a milky white color that perfectly complements dry gardens.
Ryukyu Limestone has been used as a building material in Okinawa for a long time and is still used today for stone pavements and the stone walls that surround houses.
It is a porous sedimentary rock formed by the accumulation of coral and shells in the sea over tens of thousands of years, characterized by its highly absorbent stone quality.
While many of the gravel pieces have a rugged shape, their gentle beige color, with occasional hints of orangey-brown, creates an atmosphere reminiscent of Okinawa's natural landscape.
