The head is made of 4140 steel, a chrome-molybdenum steel known for its high strength, making it difficult to process. It's a tough steel also used in building frameworks. The surface is treated with ferrite nitrocarburizing to enhance corrosion resistance.

When setting a nail, you can place it in the groove on the top of the hammerhead and strike it once to drive it in straight initially. The handle is made of hickory wood painted matte black, with a slight curve designed for easier swinging.

There are no noticeable scratches or stains, but there is some minor signs of use.
