Unique patterned bowls.
These slightly smaller bowls are perfect for chawanmushi (savory egg custard) or oshiruko (sweet red bean soup).
Made between the 1945s and 1950s.
Purchased in Arita.
Hand-painted, so while the same four-character kanji are depicted, each bowl is unique.
Stored in a cardboard box, they appear unused, but there are storage-related scratches.
Three lids have cracks, and only one is intact. There are 2-3mm chips on the knobs.
One of the small bowls has a dot-like mark, which was present from the beginning (photo 3).
The cutting lines are also jagged.
The color is ivory, and the characters appear brown or bronze, with variations in darkness and lightness.
They also look stylish displayed as interior decor.
Diameter: 9.5 cm
Height: 7 cm
Base height: 1 cm
