[Soil Suitable for Moss Terrariums]
1. Nutrient-Poor Soil
Moss does not require much nutrition.
2. Clean Soil
Since moss is grown in enclosed glass containers, it's best to use the cleanest soil possible. Undecayed organic matter like dead leaves can cause mold to grow.
3. Granular Soil
Compared to clay soil, granular soil allows air and water to penetrate more easily.
4. Slightly Acidic Soil
Strictly speaking, the preferred soil pH varies by moss species, but most mosses used in terrariums prefer slightly acidic soil.
