This lifebuoy was hung on the stern pulpit as safety equipment for a sailing cruiser on Lake Biwa from 1980 (Showa 55) to 2020 (Reiwa 2).
Fortunately, it was never needed during that time, and there were no accidents.
This is a very lucky lifebuoy.
When swimming in Lake Biwa, although a life jacket was always worn, using this horseshoe lifebuoy made water play even more enjoyable.
The dirt is from when it was used for water play.
