Description
This is a beautiful vintage hand-blown black amethyst art glass pedestal vase, attributed to Krosno Glassworks of Poland, circa 1970s–80s. Although it appears black, the glass is a rich amethyst-purple hue when held to the light. It has an urn-shaped body, optic-twist pedestal and wide flared rim and has the original Made in Poland export label. Attribution is based on its craftsmanship, color, and construction, as the vase is not factory marked. I have included an AI model of how it may look when using it. This vase is preloved and in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. There is light surface wear and a few minor scuffs are present, primarily on the base, consistent with age and normal use. The original Made in Poland label remains attached.
