The Black Cat Fundoshi is a type of traditional Japanese fundoshi, and can be considered the origin of modern T-back underwear. T-back underwear has existed in Japan since ancient times.
It is thought to have been devised based on the roshaku fundoshi, making it easier to wear.

For those unaccustomed to T-backs, the sensation of the fabric between the buttocks might be noticeable until you get used to it. If this is a concern, we recommend the open-back style of the Yorō Modern Fundoshi. This is also recommended for those who want to avoid visible panty lines under outerwear.

The string model uses stretchable T-shirt yarn for the string (mitsu) part, offering a wearing experience similar to G-string underwear. You can switch between the string model for casual everyday wear and the bleached string model for a tighter fit, depending on your needs.
